There are a number of programs and software that you can use to obtain better vision without glasses by following the instructions provided.  Be sure to look away from the computer every 10-15 minutes at an object in the distance.  This object should be at least 10 feet away.  Looking into the distance every 15 minutes will help relax your eyes, and prevent worsening eyesight.  To improve your vision without glasses, be sure to blink regularly while working at the computer.  Don't stare for long periods of time without blinking.  Another great method of preventing bad (and worsening) vision when using a computer is plus lens therapy

Plus Lens Therapy – Natural Therapy for Myopia

Plus lens therapy, combined with eye exercises, can act as a natural therapy for myopia.  Plus lens therapy can prevent further worsening of your eyesight (neasightedness) when performing close work, such as reading a book or working on a computer.

Plus lens therapy is one common method of preventing further progression of myopia (nearsightedness).  In some cases, it has also worked to reverse nearsightedness.  This method involves wearing "plus lenses" while reading or performing close work (i.e. working on a computer).  Plus lenses can be purchased at a drugstore, Walmart, or any large retail store with a pharmacy.  Plus lenses are also called "reading glasses," and have a plus symbol in front of the diopter (i.e. +1.00, +1.5, +2.0 diopters).

When you first begin wearing +1.00 diopter lenses while reading, the words will be semi-blurry since you are nearsighted and normally wear minus lenses.  Hold the book as far away as you can—at the point where the letters are somewhat blurry, but still readable.  Over time, you can begin to hold the book further away and still read the words clearly.  This will halt (and sometimes reverse) nearsightedness.  If your child is complaining that he cannot see the blackboard in school, you can begin plus lens therapy to reverse and prevent worsening eyesight.

Another natural therapy for myopia is better eye health through nutritional supplements. Eating a diet that is rich in fresh vegetables and fish is an excellent treatment for myopia. The vitamins E, C and selenium are important nutrients to ensure proper eye health. Fruits and vegetables are rich in carotenoids and the role they play in keeping eyes healthy is to protect the tissue of the eyes. Anyone who has ever worn glasses (or contact lenses) knows that when you get a new pair of glasses, it can take as long two weeks (or more) in order for your eyes to adjust to them. Wearers may feel dizzy and have depth perception problems—but in time they gradually adjust to the glasses.  This suggests that minus lenses may have some very negative effects.

The only way to make your vision better long-term is to learn how to see properly.  Glasses and contact lenses are merely crutches we use to see the world around us with as little effort as possible.  Unfortunately, glasses do not correct the underlying problem of weakened eye muscles and worsening eyesight.  They merely mask the "symptoms."

Unfortunately, most people need a STRONGER eyeglass prescription over time.  Your eye becomes reliant on the "crutch" (glasses), and even weaker than it was before.  When was the last time that you went to the eye doctor, and he told you your eyesight had IMPROVED?  Probably never.  Most people who are nearsighted (difficulty seeing distant objects) experience something called "myopic progression."  This means your prescription gets STRONGER over time.  In other words, your eyesight is getting WEAKER and WORSE.  Glasses do nothing but act as a temporary crutch.  They are a Band-Aid "patch" for your eyes.  Glasses mask the symptoms, but ignore (and usually worsen) the root cause of bad eyesight.

You can use a technique called "sunning" to gain better vision.  The technique of sunning your eyes was developed in the early 1900's by Dr. William Bates, an opthalmologist who worked with patients to improve their vision naturally.

Sunning is the practice of letting the sun shine directly on your closed eyelids.  Sun on your eyelids allows the retina to get used to brighter light, so that the entire range of light can be tolerated without ill effect on the eyes.  Sunlight is also very healing.  After just 5 minutes of exposing your closed eyelids to direct sunlight, you will notice that your vision is clearer and sharper.  There are a few things that should be avoided when trying to achieve better vision naturally when using this method.  First, never look directly into the sun with open eyes.  Make sure your eyelids are closed and then point them towards the sun.  Also, never wear contact lenses while performing this exercise.

Begin by exposing your eyelids to the sun for just a few minutes, and then gradually increase the time. Keep your eyes closed and turn your head in a relaxed manner from side to side. Practice deep and even breathing, and feel the warming rays of the sun as it penetrates into your eyes and forehead as you seek to achieve better vision naturally using this method.

After you have finished sunning, follow up with the palming method.  Repeat this exercise a few more times.
